About Express Car Wash

5$ deluxe exterior car wash with unlimited free vacuuming with wash purchase.

Express Car Wash is a car wash in Chicago, Illinois. It is listed at 3218 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60618, which places it among the local businesses of Chicago that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In Chicago, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Illinois, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Express Car Wash at (773) 583-7966; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, mycarwash.com.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 730 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Used to be a great place. I don't know what happened? A bird shit on my car and I ran it over to Express. The attendant told me to get the $15 wash because they use a power washer to get it off. Needless to say, he used the power washer but sprayed the side of my car. WTH?! Don't waste your money.

Surprised this got 4.0 stars. I know this car wash been here for so many years but today the worst service ever. It’s a free vacuum the black guy that works there told us that we can’t vacuum unless we get a car wash but we did yesterday just didn’t get to because it was so full. We came back today the guy was so rude turned off the vacuum and just stood there and started saying negative things. My husband asked are you the manager he said no. I asked another employee and doesn’t even know if you supposed to get a car wash in order to vacuum your car. I was mad.

The wash was terrible. Came to a complete stop twice and just suddenly resumed, watered down soap....just bad. Car is still dirty AFTER a $10 wash. Avoid.

1/25 UPDATE: I took my car back for a wash with the free month of lava club membership (at the highest tier wash) , and it came out squeaky clean with NO residue! My faith and trust in this company and location has been restored. From 1 star to 5 stars. Thank you, David! Sorry I didn’t take updated pictures! I will next time I go through! ———————————————————————- EDIT : After leaving my review and sending feedback through the website, David called meand left a really nice voicemail. I called him back and he explained the situation (mechanical issue) and gave me a free month of the lava club and emphasized how much he wanted to make it right . I very much appreciated his customer service and efforts and attitude about this situation. From the care he provided in resolving this issue, I felt more at ease, taken care of, and like I could give them another chance, and like I didn’t waste my money. I’m raising my review from 1 star to 3 stars. I hope to update again once my car is clean. ——————————————————————- Original review, : Wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. I paid for a $15 dollar deluxe wash. When I went through the first time, I noticed the whole right
